Delayed Recognition

What it measures

Delayed Recognition measures long-term recognition memory of images or words

Outcome measures

Delayed Image Recognition

An increase in score on this outcome should be interpreted as an improvement. Higher scores are better.

Delayed Word Recognition

An increase in score on this outcome should be interpreted as an improvement. Higher scores are better.

Delayed Image Recognition Reaction Time

A decrease in score on this outcome should be interpreted as an improvement.

Delayed Word Recognition Reaction Time

A decrease in score on this outcome should be interpreted as an improvement.

How it measures

Similarly to the immediate recognition test, participants were again required to respond “yes” or “no” as to whether they had seen certain images before, but for this test after a longer delay [1]
